The fine group we went "trekking" with, interesting character with a great set of teeth in the middle of the picture!

Ha Noi

Today we walked the length of the somewhat dilapidated Long Bien Bridge which crosses Hanoi's Red River, the bridge was built in 1903 by the architects of Daydé & Pillé, of France who also built the Eiffel Tower, at that time this was one of the longest bridges in Asia with the length of 2.5km, more than 3,000 Vietnamese took part in the construction. The bridge was heavily bombarded during Vietnam War due to its critical position
